Here Come Bonus

Now is end of the year. Almost all working adult is expecting or have already collected their bonuses. Some fat some thin bonus.

I have a thin bonus. Anyway it is better than none.

Some people may have good plan after receiving their bonuses. For me I want to save it up and this time not the grandma's way like putting it under the pillow, haha just joking.

This time I would like to invest in gold bullions and gold coins. I was not really familiar with this type of investment earlier, but thru friends and some Internet searching I am now more confident and starting to learn about what is gold coin and gold bullion and how to invest in it.

Now with FD interest rate so low, gold is definitely another better option to safely keep our hard earned money.

I Am Back!

I think as a blogger I need to be more responsible and not just leave my blog on sleeping mode for too long. Anyway this time I have a good excuse for doing so.

Actually I had a problem with my computer. It just closed down every few minutes and I cant reformat my computer before I save up my important files.
Today I called the HP care center and they help guide me to Save Mode and son told me to save file in the extra hard disk in my computer from Safe Mode. Oh, I didn't know I can do that to save the files. I should have asked them earlier. Anyway I will keep all my important file in an external hard disk to save all these trouble in the future.

Being unable to access my blog and go visiting other blogs is really a torture for me.
.
I do miss you, you, you and you. Do you miss me?

Free Money, Free Money, Free Money!

I have been receiving this email from different person since 5 years ago and they have not stop sending although they have told me again and again this is the last chance for me to claim my $$$$$MILLION$$$$$.

I am sure many of you also receive this annoying email before and how do you stop them from sending? I send them into the spam mail folder but they can break the spam and send to my normal mail.

I know this is not real but just wonder what do they get by sending me this type of information over and over again.

It is really annoying to see this type of mail everyday. How I wish I could find where these gangs are and squeeze them into a bottle and let them see me dancing with joy from inside.

Oh God! I May Be Carrying H1N1

I am having flu, cough and sore throat. Symptoms very close to the recent epidemic, which make me a little panic now.

I was not worried earlier and have been travelling to Kuching last month to visit my friends and been to some trade show display centre, visit all PC fair exhibit booths at KL Convention Centre, to PD for a break and to the shopping centre for the BIG sales. All those places were very crowded which I think is not advisable to expose ourselves there.

Now suddenly I am down with flu, cough and sore throat. Although confirmed by the doctor that I have no fever I still worry that the medication may weaken my immune system. Now I have to be very careful with my diet, making doubly sure I eat well and keep physical and mentally strong.

I think I should be staying at home for the time being, and not out to spread the flu to others. So just forget about the grand sales and the MATTA fair which will be starting 4th September at the moment.

Look at the *smart* Orang Utan below, unlike me, they have no health problem, no worry, no pressure, no financial need, just live a carefree and happy life!

I Am What I am

I would give only what I could give

Many a time I have tried to be

What others want me to be - and failed

I cannot be all things to all people

And it was not until I recognised that in myself

And saw the limitations of my own capacities

That I began to be able to accept myself

and give up some of my quilts....

I cannot run a mile in 5 minutes

Nor soar like a gull in the morning skies

And there are mornings when

The day seems to stretch into disaster

And there would always be those times, those days

And if I recognise them not as failures and weaknesses

But part of my basic humanness

And the right to be imperfect

I will never have to be afraid again .....

That is one thing I have learned

And it has helped me now

At least to stand alone

Without the need to clutch and cling for support.......

Still,

It would be good if there is someone

It is not fun to be alone .... sometimes

It's Time I Change For a Better Tomorrow

While I was having my meal today, I suddenly realised my life is kind of boring. I realized I forgot to live, I just managed to survive. Everyday what I do is planning for what to eat for breakfast, for lunch, for dinner, for myself and for my children..... and working .....

One more thing I forget is to be a nice and well-mannered person.
.
Am I that bad???? Lets see!
******
******

If well-mannered girls are those who :
.
Do not offend others
.
Do not become angry easily
.
Do not turn evil for evil
.
Do not monopolize conversation
.
Do not interrupt when someone else is talking
.
In brief, they are :Kind, Friendly, Respectful, Courteous, Agreeable, Patient, Civil and Generous.
.
Now let me rate myself:
.
1. I've lost my patient. Unlike those days I was really patient. (-1 point)
.
2. I am always not agreeable with others. I always have something to add or to correct about others opinions. (-1 point)
.
3. I am too straight forward in giving comments about others. I meant good without realizing it is hurting. (-1 point)
.
4. I often scold people in my heart, *%&X! #?!* instead of openly, whenever someone irritates me. (- 1 point)
.
5. I am not very friendly to my neighbors who bullied me, who tried to kick me out of my own home. (-1 point)
.
6. I talk more than I listen. (- 0.5 point)
.
The result?............
.
.

****10 - 5.5 = 4.5 ****

Aunty Duck Talking To Uncle Chicken

Streamyx bill has increased from RM77.00 to RM88.00 per month? I am not sure!

The bill I received clearly stated that I have to pay RM165.00 and apart from the bill I also received a notification of late billing for internets service but did not mentioned about the increased. So I supposed the bill is for 2 months and wrongly charged.

Unwilling to pay for extra RM11.00, I called the streamyx call centre for clarification.

rrrringgg....rrringg.....rringgg...................

Call Centre (CC) : Good evening, I am xxxx, may I help you?

Mol : Good evening. I received a streamyx bill dated 28 Oct. and a notification about late billing, but the charges stated in the bill is wrong. It should be RM154.00 (RM77 + RM77) but the bill is RM165 (RM77.00 + RM88.00). Why is that so?

CC : Ok madam, what you received is a sample only.

Mol : Do you mean I can ignore the bill and don't have to pay according to the bill?

CC : No madam, you have to pay the bill in full ie RM165.00.

Mol : But you are charging me RM11.00 extra. Why is that so?

CC : Madam, can you read the letter we send to you about late billing.

Mol : Yes. But now what I am asking you is, why am I being charged extra RM11.00 in the bill? The letter didn't mention anything about the extra charges at all.

CC : Madam, that is just a sample only.

Mol : *?!?!! Sample????*
Do you mean I don't have to pay according to the bill? (Same question asked twice, what is happening to me? :(:( .

CC : No Madam, you have to pay RM165.00. You are now paying in advance for the service. You may go to any TM centre for enquiry about the late billing.

Mol : *??? advance payment!!!!* No problem I will be as frustrated as I am now if I were to go to the TM centre. Thank you for trying. I will pay accordingly and if there is any extra charges please refund to me later, is that alright?

Actually the staff could have just tell me that the charges for streamyx has increased from October 08 onward and to visit the TM centre for further clarification.

If my manglish (Mandarin + English) is also complicating you like the above, please don't hesitate to tell me. Dont laugh alone, just put up a comment and we can laugh together, hahahahahah!!!! no problem at all, ok!!!
Duck : Quak quak quak...........
Chicken : ??!!!!!??? .. kok...kok...kokoooo.........
Duck : ???!!!!????

A Tiring Day

HO HO HO I am going shopping with a friend! She is renovating her kitchen and is looking for lots of kitchen things.
.
For me, I am looking for a stove and a pair of sunglasses.
.
We went for our brunch then to Signature Kitchen for her kitchen design, after that we headed to IKEA. Spent more than 2 hours walking around but found nothing that suits us. We ended up at the electrical shops where she bought the exhaust fan, water heater, lightings, door bell, washing machine, etc.......

We are still looking for Rinnai Stove and a Kitchen sink.
.
Anyone knows where to find the latest Rinnai Stove? We have been hopping from big and small electrical shops but couldnt find any shop that sells this brand.
.
OK, One more week, if I still couldnt find Rinnai anywhere, I will just close my eye and get one! Any brand will do, in order for me to carry on with my life without depending on outside foods, which is killing! I mean both the price and quality of the foods.
.
Went to Restaurant Shabu-Shabu for steamboat before we call it a day.

Is a nice place for steamboat. It is clean, pleasent environment, indivisual pot, air-conditioned. I really like it, very well ventilated.
After almost a whole day shopping, we still couldnt find all that we wanted.

Huh! Now, it is 'Money not enought' or 'Time not enough'?

Home Alone

Home alone, how does that sound to you? I really enjoy being alone but I know if I continue to be alone, I will become koo koo soon. Anyway, it is only temporarily. My sons will be back; and after I have completed my project I will start joining friends out there again.
.
Meanwhile, I also have to clear all the stuff I have in the fridge while it's still fresh.
.
That will means whatever I eat and cook from now are stuffs from my fridge. I am not sure how many days I need to finish all those stuffs, but one thing for sure, i.e. no more marketing until everything is cleared. .
.
Lets see how much I have cleared today, or I should say dumped into my stomach :
.
For breakfast, I had a cup of juice with an apple, chocolate milk, multi-vitamin and protein power blended together; a piece of carrot cake I bought from Coffee Bean 2 days ago and a cup of tea.

For lunch I had sambal prawn with cucumber and rice. Mmmm.. delicious .. .
The ingredients are: 3 table spoonful hot spicy chilly sauce with ginger and garlic, one onion, one potato, one tomato, salt and sugar. I don't have 'belacan' and santan in my fridge, but it doesn't matter at all because I am trying to avoid these 2 items which are not doing any good for my health.
.

And for dinner, I cooked vegetable soup.
.
First I fried the chopped onion and garlic until it is brown, add in some chicken stocks, tomato and wolf berries and boil it for few minutes.

Add in the meat, 2 types of organic vegetables, 1 piece of toufu, an egg, 4 pieces of fried toufu, and prawns.
.

That's really filling. *burp* Excuse me!
.
First 3 meals 'KauTim'!

Can I Call It 'Lobak'?

I admit I have some bad habit when comes to marketing. I have the urge to buy anything that is fresh. People can tell me that something that they're selling just arrived from farm, or it is very fresh or home grown or is organic, I will definitely get a packet of that... whatever it is.
.
When I checked my fridge today I found that I have one yam, a packet of water chestnuts, spring onion, celery, 2 packet of meat, eggs, fish, prawn, cabbage, tomato, apples, oranges and some other vegetable in there.
.
I've better stop going to market this week and find someone to finish all those thing when I turned it into dishes.
.
It's not impossible to finish all those things but to turn into delicious dishes is a bit of challenge for me. Mmmmm..... what to cook leh?
.
**** After seeing so many stars, I still cannot decide whether to make meat balls, or steam egg with minced meat, or meat with black soy sauce, curry fish or prawn ....... Suddenly I realized my children like to eat 'Lobak' but I always discourage them from taking that outside because of the dark, black recycled oil they used to fry the Lobak.
.
So I decided to make 'Lobak'.
.
Ingredients and methods :
.
1. Cut the meat into big chunks.

2. Cut Yam into two half. Half piece steam till it's cooked and soft and smash it. The other half keep for 'Bubur cha cha' later.
.
3. Cut and chop all the garlic and shallots in the picture.
.
4. Peel the water chestnuts and chop into small pieces.

5. Wash and dice celery and spring onion. You can cut as much as you like, this is home cook healthy food, no restriction.

6. Mix all the ingredients together with some salt, soy sauce, pepper, five-spice powder, 2 eggs, chinese wine and some cornflour :
7. Wrap it with bean curd sheet and deep fry :

Yeah! a job well done! It was yummy, yummy delicious, no joke!

My Weekend

Went to pick up my girlfriend from KEN lll for a get together with other Single Mummy.

After the gathering we went for the HP sale.
.
Couldn't get the monitor I wanted. But I didn't come back empty handed. That's my tradition to at least buy something small whenever i go for sale. At most of the Sales there're some small and cheap items to lure my money. That's why i always go for sale without much cash in my purse, because below certain amount they don't accept credit card, then i can save up my money. If I found something really worth buying i would normally use credit card if they accept it without charging me extra.
.
This stretegy has helped me saved some unnecessary spending but also caused me some unnecessary time spent to look for an ATM machine when i found something worth buying which can only pay by cash.
I bought 2 mouse pads each came with a hand rest. That's what i have been looking for. Although that's not exactly what I wanted, but it's good enough.
.

Can you see that cute little red ladybird in the picture? That's a vacuum cleaner for the computer. It came with 2 batteries. Not sure whether it works, I'm lazy to try it out now.
.
Each item is only RM5.00. So i spent only RM15.00 that day. I don't know how long these things going to lie around in my house, after all there's always a rubbish bin to collect the rubbish i bought.

Every Time Is The Last Time

Surely some of you going to drop jaw when you see what I did to my body and tummy last Sunday. I've promised my body that's the last time I'm going to ill treat my tummy. But ...Promises are meant to be broken. Hehehe

.

My friend drop by so we decided to eat out the whole day :

.

9.00 am - Had 'Nasi Lemak' (santan rice) with fried chicken (Er..full of oil) and a cup of 'teh tarik'.

.

1.00 pm - Had 'Curry Laksa' and 'ice-kachang' at the lane behind Petaling Street. I didn't take photo because there were too many people around. Next time I will take one to tempt the Laksa lover. It's soooo yummy. Forgot all about cholesterol.

.

That's my favourite place for 'Laksa'. If ever I go to petaling street, is a must for me to eat that. My children and most friends wont want to accompany me there because that place is near to the wet market, so usually I would go alone. But this friend of mine didn't mind. I was happy to know that she enjoyed it, and promised to go with me again.

.

3.30 pm - Went for durian. The RM4.00 per kilo stall has sold out. Ended up at the other stall. Only the RM8.00 per kg was available, too expensive for me. Took two and shared with my friend. It cost us RM32.00. Only 5 pulps in each fruits but big pulp with tiny seed. Not only the price is higher, the quality is much, much higher than the RM4.00 ones. We didnt forget to bring back 2 husks for drinking water with it at home to avoid heatiness.

5.00 pm - Went for Hokkien fried noodle at Subang Jaya SS15 town centre. Not bad, a lot of lard in it. Hehehe!
.

6.30 pm - My friend has 30% discount voucher at Baskin Robbins. We decided not to waste that offer. I had one with cup and my friend had one with cone, yummy, yummy...

Had 4 stick of 'satay' or sate (chunks of meat in skewer grilled or barbecued over a wood or charcoal fire), for supper.

At night I felt the durian's heat coming up in my body. Hot, hot, hot! Have to stay in my room, switched on the air-con to coooool down!

I Think I Have A Sixth Sense

My lady boss whom I have worked for 20+ years passed away peacefully last week. She was 96 years old. She had a fall and was lying in bed for almost 5 years. I felt strangely tired and weak in the morning of that day. When her son called me to inform me that she was in critical condition, I told him I could only go the second morning because I was not feeling well and was feeling weak.
.
I went to her house the next morning. Felt a little sad, my tears rolled down uncontrollably when I saw her body lying there covered up. Why, why did I cry? I always think that it’s better not to linger around this world too long. It does give some pressure to someone closely related especially when the memory and consciousness are gone. Am I being selfish to think like that?
.
I didn't attend her funeral. That was because I went to attend my sister’s father-in-law’s funeral. He passed away on Thursday morning and the funeral was at 10.00 am Saturday morning also.
.
I would want to avoid going to any of the funeral because I felt uneasy in those places. I am scared of something I couldn't see. LOL. I believe that a lot of those unseen wanderers took the advantage of the situation to come by visiting. .... A r e.. y o u.. t h e r e?

I went to my sister’s house on Thursday night, when I came back at about 11.00 pm, my right hand side neighbor’s cute doggy was barking at me very fiercely as I entered the gate. He had never done that because he knows me very well. I was a little stunned I stood there and asked the doggy - "Why are you barking at me?" But he continued barking, very fiercely. I felt strange so I did the best thing I could do, chanting..... before I went in to my house. Don’t laugh, who knows what’s going on, only the god and the dog knew and they could only signal me. Well thank you god for alerting!
.
My father passed away in 1987. Continuously for few years he came into my dream. Sometimes I dream of him alive talking, sometimes I dream of his funeral, but the funeral in the dream was different from the actual one. Someone told me that's because he had a request but nobody could tell me how or what to do about it. That was when I started going into Buddhism seriously. I started learning chanting and prayer for my father.
.
After my eldest brother-in-law passed away, a big moth, looked old and worn out, like it's been flying a long distance, came into my office. Although I felt a little scared, I stared at the butterfly, guessing in my heart , "are you my brother-in-law, what do you want?" There's no answer. After that, continuously for a few years, I had dream of my brother-in-law still living like normal, but never about his funeral.

So, on one of the 15th day of the seventh month of Chinese calendar - the ghost's month, I asked my sister’s permission and gave my brother-in-law's name to a temple to do some prayer for him. My sister also did some necessary for him at a temple in Singapore. After that he stopped coming into my dream, I hope his request is full filled.
.
Am I normal? Or ....? Hei, dont think funny, ok!

Sharing The World Peacefully

My job requires me to travel to 'Chow Kit' area at least twice a month. I have been doing it since many years ago. That area were once flooded with 'transvetite' or 'homosexual' or we call them 'Ah Kua', 'gay', 'pondan' etc... They are people with sexual behavior or attraction of the same sex. They voluntarily wore clothes of a women and usually they go for surgery to make themselves look feminine.

To me, they are a women trapped in a man's body. And after the surgery? I feel that they are a man trapped in a women's body. Oh gosh, I am just complicating myself.

.
The above are two pictures taken with permission. I didn't ask for their names. I had a chat with them while waiting to get my job done. There was another friend, which is much fairer, who waved at me when I drove thru that area, but when I returned intended to take a picture, shemale was gone, I think she must have caught a 'big fish' and were busy 'frying'. I waited a while, no sign of her.
.
I remember a friend, Rahim, his nick name was Mastura. I am not sure where is he now. Used to have a chat with him while I waited to get my job done. At first glance, you would think he is a women. At first I didnt know he was a transvestite because he had 5 adopted children, all were very skinny and called him 'MaMa'. I did get a shock when I found out later that she was actually a man. He would talk to me like : "We, as a women ........" Later when I found out he was actually a man, I was thinking, Hah, we? I am really not the same kind! I can give birth, he can't! But of course I just smile and talk to him as usual and treated him as normal.
.
There was another friend, Othman, he was really big size and very fair. This shemale was another sweet talker.
.
Both Rahim and Othman were the 'Ibu Ayam' last time to other transvestites, they get customers for other transvestites for a fee. Off course, good customer they kept for themselves. That was what they told me!
.
Rahim told me about his story. When he was young, he felt different from other sisters. He found out when he was form 3. Later he ventured to Kuala Lumpur and started to dress up as women. When his father found out while visiting him in Kuala Lumpur, he was furious. But Rahim said there was nothing he could do, because that is the natural feeling from inside, he felt more a women and were only interested in man. It is not what he wanted. He was once very helpless and cried about it, but later, he accepted the truth. He said that it's the god's will.
.

Are you curious about them? Things like when they use public toilet, which one they would enter? ......... I am curious too!
.
I just hope that all of them are happy and have a bright future.

All In A Day's Work

Guest what I did today that makes me so happy?

I got my rebate!!!!! I am richer by RM1,250.00. I have a double claim, because I have 2 cars under my name and they really gave the money to me!
.

I Went to Giant Hypermarket Post Office at 8.30 am to make the claim, but the queue there was long and the sun was hot, I thought it was better for me to avoid getting sunburn.

.
So I packed and drove to Carrefor. Regretted, because the jam from Giant Hypermarket to Carrefor was 1/2 hour instead of the usual 10 minutes drive + petrol?
.
At 9.00 am I was at Carrefor Hypermarket. All shops were not opened yet. I went to the post office and queue up. Is was cooling, so is worth the petrol. The post office open at 9.30 am.
.
While waiting, I overheard a young man talking on the phone : "Darling, I am at Carrefor waiting to claim the petrol rebate, the queue is so long, any way it's such a small amount, I'll make the claim some other days ok?" He stopped a little while and said : "But darling, you see, I have been to other post office, it's all the same long queue." I turned and smiled to the young man. Most people when they are young they call the wife darling, honey, sweet heart.... Slowly, they would change the tone and start name-calling with Wei, Hei added in ....... that is the time the wife should pack and go, I think. Haha just joking. May be the wife like it that way.
.
I renewed one of the Road Tax, which will expires on 8.7.08.

I asked the clerk - " Can I get the rebate after the renewal?" He said, after looking at my registration card and did some calculation, "No, cannot, come back next year January 09." "But then it's stated in the news that renewal after July 08 can start to claim on 1.7.08 right? Can you please check again, thank you." I handed him the other registration card and said, "I would appreciate if you could let me claim it together." And jokingly I said, "Petrol very expensive Oh, now!" And gave him a smile. I didnt know I could bargain for it, I was surprised.

Within 20 minutes I got my road tax renewed and money in my hand. Yeah!

On the way home, I stopped somewhere for breakfast. I saw this shop "Uncle Seng Home Made Noodle". There were so many people waiting, it must be nice. I went in alone, feeling a little like an alien.

I found that the food there...Mmmmm.... soup was ok, no 'ajinomoto', I think they've added in some cornflour to make the noodle smoother, that all, but the coffee was nice.

That's me, on my way to my car, parked so far away.

I drop by at Standard Chartered Bank, put my money safely into the bank before I plan what to do with it... Mmm.... big makan, new cloths, shoes, handbag, sunglasses ... anyway how many people will actually keep the money for the petrol? Count ....... and tell me!
