Fried Banana

I had fried banana for tea today. It is crispy and so yummylicious.
.
It is very simple to make, I mean it is very easy to make it crispy. I learned this from my cousin sister when I visited her in Port Dickson during last Christmas holiday at PD, when 6 of us finished the whole big plate of fried banana she prepared at least enough for 15 people. We felt very embarassing because before she fried, all of us were saying that each of us will have one or two pieces because we had just taken our lunch.
.
So here is the simple way to fried banana:
For batter : Mixed Flour, little salt, sugar and water. Dip the banana, she use 'pisang nipah', in the batter and deep fry it till golden colour.
.
Here is the end result. Inside is soft and sweet while outside is crispy.

I had that with a cup of tea, how about you? Tea or coffee?

QuiRkyM, it is crispy when it is hot only because I dont add in other thing to make it crispy.

Tekkaus, better stay away from fried thing like this because it cause heatiness. New Year coming hor!

Wenn, quick, drink some herbal tea.

Che-Cheh, I am not into banana also, except fried banana. :) That's why I am not as happy as monkey. Ha

SmallKuching, too bad, finished already.

Pete, is better to fry at home. Outside they may add in PLASTIC container to make it crispy, you know???

Those banana fritters sure look delicious. I prefer ripe bananas be used because I like them sweet.

Ya lah, the added ingredient (plastic) is worrisome. Thanks for visiting, Molly.

xin, Nowaday less email about that matter, hope those people come to their senses soon.

HappySurfer, Yes ripe banana is sweeter. I tried to fried the unripe one thought it will soften in the heat, but no.

Oh me and my kids love goreng pisang ! Never thought of frying some...hehehe...just buy them outside if I'm craving for some.... your pisang look really good ! BTW I have problems coming to your blog , I received pop-up ads and it takes very long to load

Sweet Jasmin, ripe banana is very sweet and nice, but watch out, it is very heaty.

Rose, you are right, it is very, very oily, that's why I seldom fry. But have to once in a while to avoid my children buying from outside stall which is just opposit my house.

Housefly, looks like many people love this banana fritters.
I notice I have this pop up problem since after I installed the Kaspersky Internet Security.
So sorry about it but there is nothing I could do now. :) Will try to fix it. Thanks for informing me.
