A monk and a butcher were good friends and they were good neighbors too.
Every morning when the butcher woke up to work he would wake the monk up for prayer and the monk would do the same for the butcher.
These went on for many years until they were old and finally die.
One of them ended up in heaven and the other ended up in hell.

Hey, this is not fair! The butcher is the one who slaughter the animals not the monk. All the monk did was wake him up. And if the monk did not wake him up, the butcher would still wake up eventually and slaughter animals!
But if you are into Christianity, you will know that both of them will end up in hell. Unless the butcher is a Christian.
If you are into Buddhism, both will be reborn.
As for me, I think both will get another chance to write the script for their next life on earth. There's no heaven or hell - they don't exist : )
haaaaa! yes, but th butcher should be punished as well.
foongpc - Some people in this world has seen hell and some has seen the heaven. The easiest place to find hell is in Africa....., but not much people take a look at that. We concentrate on heavenly places.
Just wish that we will never be reborn again then there is no hell or heaven.
Jacky - I think both should go to hell so that they can continue be friend to each other, support each other. It it cruel to split up a good couple or friends, right. LOL

Wei Jacky, you are getting a little too far. LOL. May be ordinally people cannot but the monk should be able to. Just like the high monk in Tibet, they can foretell where they would be born, and as a child they are able to recognise some of their belongings of their past life, eh????
