Moon Cake Festival

Tomorrow, 3rd October, is the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival or Moon Cake festival or lantern festival, which is on the 15th day of the 8th month of Chinese lunar calendar. On the day the moon is believe to be roundest and brightest signalling a time of completeness and abundance.

I usually celebrate in my mum's house with my sisters, brothers and the children. After the dinner, we move the table outside the house and savor the mooncake with Chinese tea, peanut, fruits etc... while the children parade with their colourful lanterns.
It is indeed a very happy get together every year.

Hi there!

Oh that sound slike a fun event... sadly my family don't have such thing... I know when I was young my family used to have this packets of paper lantern and we the siblings would play outside. But we grown up and slowly none of us were playing those anymore.

To be honest,I still love those lantern... I swear I am still a very big kid in me :).

Have a great mid autumn festival.

We are celebrating with the late hub's family, as we've been doing in the past. There's going to be a lot of food, too much food, I'm sure. :)
