Living With The Hooligans

There are fighting at the USJ area among the residents because part of the residents has converted the garden into guarded and gated community which has caused more inconvenience than any good. They use the ugly fencing to fence up the place and employ some dummy security guards to harass the residents and put up the barricades wherever they like and close it whenever they like it.
The above is the barricade broken by some angry residents of this area.
.
No body sees the fight but they only see the ugly fencing and the dummy security guard getting fatter everyday.
.
The entrance and exit near my house is closed permanently. Due to this I have to often park my car opposite my house to avoid taking a big turn just to drop my marketing and out again using the steps I built. The same steps I use to take to go garden which is so convenience is now removed and the area fenced up.
.
Hey, I am no criminal, I don't harassed people, I don't collect unlawful money, I don't misled the residents like you and why am I being caged in like you, committee members?
. The above picture is the fencing right in front of my house's main gate. I put the newspaper there to show how ugly it looks with one side lower than the other. The committee members has either done it purposely because I objected to the gated and guarded idea or they really are not qualify to take the responsibility of the community's security and our garden's image.
.
With most of the road closed, I just couldn't imagine what will happen in case of emergency. The fire brigade or ambulance have to take time to look for entrance or exit or they have to take time to breakdown the closed and locked gate. What is the point of building the entrance and sealed it?
.
My personal life is badly affected by this group of hooligan.
.
I am very confused. When there is no road, the people rally and request to have road built and when there is road, they allowed it closed. Any logic?

Hey, Mr Postman

I am feeling relieved and in a happier mood recently. Hmm.. Wonder why?

The bad neighbors have moved out, yeah!!!

Since I heard they were moving out few months ago, I have been holding my breath counting the day and hoping that they will not change their mind and stay on.

I am not the only one bullied by them. Their daughter-in-law has moved out earlier because she couldn’t stand the bully too.

Actually their presence were causing me worry and lots of inconvenience. See, I have my own letter box but some of the letters ended up in their rubbish bin, why? Could it be Mr. Postman dropped wrongly into their box or they came stealing it from my letter box while I was out? This has caused me great concern but nothing much I could do about it.

Some of you must be thinking how am I so sure that my letters were missing and they were the one stealing it or Mr. Postman dropped the letters wrongly. Here is the proof:

They don’t have a rubbish chute and they place a rubbish bin in front of my house which irritates me a lot. Sometimes the stray dogs and cats came messed up the bin and there were twice I found my letters inside the bin. I was really angry but I couldn’t do anything, just pretended nothing has happened rather than making a scene out of it.

If you have a bullying neighbor like my ex, I suggest you get a whitehall mailbox with a lock and keep a bull dog for double security.

Now that they have moved, I should praise myself for being so patience, tolerant, good hearted etc…etc… etc.. hehehe....self praise…..

Aunty Farmer

I am going to start planting organic vegetable at my little garden.
.
Looks like an easy job but actually it is really tough just to plough and loosen up the soil alone. And with a small hoe like this it is even tougher. I am having backache bone ache all over for the past few days.
Now I can feel the muscle in my arm and my finger going out of shape already. Seriously have to think of getting a gardener to help me.
Went to a nursery at Sungai Buloh to buy some organic soil and 'natural' fertiliser today.

Very soon i will have my own supply of organic vegetable, Heeeeeehehheeeee.....
.
Have you seen an Aunty farmer before? Soon I will look like one .... dark, muscular and tough!!!!

Hey Mr Thief! You Are Being Watched!

My brother woke up one morning last week and found the money in his and the wife’s purse which they left by the bedside, two hand phones, a bag, gold chain, touch N go from the car were missing. When they checked thru their house, they found that the house keys and car keys were lying on the floor, other than that everything were intact.

The first person they suspected was their Indonesian maid which she denied she has anything to do with it. There was no proof that she did it and according to my brother, she can be trusted. Well, for me, hmmm ...frankly I dont trust anyone.

Although my brother reported the case to the police station, they are not able to claim any losses from the insurance company because there were no sign of breaking in.

Now my brother is seriously thinking of installing the ADT security system at home like the alarm and home security surveillance system. It should be a good move to keep his house under monitoring 24 hours a day and 7 days and week.

With the crime rate and burglary on the rise day by day, a good home security system is important to help minimize the chances of you and your family dealing with these crimes, it also provide safety for a family and give complete peace of mind whether we are at home or away from home.

Please Keep In Touch

My friend, Angie, has just got married not long ago and has since been relocated. Being so used to directv at home she was worried she will be missing all her favorite programmes and will be bored in the new environment. She decided to find a suitable Direct TV service which provide entertainment and at the same time not too costly. But now I doubt she will have the time like before for Directv. LOL

There are directv in NY, CA, FL etc.... So entertainment is really not a problem when I am old and wherever I will be. I think I am worrying too much and been thinking too far as if I will live up to 100 years old like our fellow blogger, foongpc. LOL

Anyway, I will be visiting Angie with 2 of her friends in July. She has helped us booked our returned ticket from 15th July. So, stay tuned for my update ok!

Switch On The Light, Please

While I was cooking one day, my kitchen light suddenly went off with a soft sparkling sound and I smell something burning.

Wao, that was nothing to joke about at all. It seems like a small matter but it could lead to big fire too.

Actually I have just changed the lighting from an ordinary fluorescent light to a fancier one thinking more expensive one would be safer. Too bad it turn out to be opposite.

After the incident, many things came to my mind:

1. What is the cause of the problem?

2. Who is at fault? Was it the manufacturer, the contractor or my house wiring problem?

3. What type of lighting should I go for?

4. Which brand is safer and more durable?

Whatever is the reason, I still have to have lighting in my house. Now, let me plan a little what lighting to use before I call in a contractor.

For the kitchen I will always stick to fluorescent light with extra brightness to make sure I can see all the tiny worms hiding in the vegetable and to avoid adding sugar instead of salt to my cooking or vise versa.

For dinning hall, I would like something dimmer because on a table, there should be enough light to see the person across the table but not too bright that distract from the mood of the candle like kind of mood I am creating.

And the planning goes on for my hall downstairs and upstairs, my room, my children’s rooms, etc. Not an easy task because I would like to have some beautiful designer lamp which might involve more money. But I think it is worth the money because a beautiful lamp is like an art and it does not only help brighten up, it helps beautify our rooms. So there will be some fancier designed lighting to replace the outdated ones.

I think I will go visit some online store like shopwiki for some lamps buying guides.

I Think I Am Very Normal, How About You?

Everybody wants to stay beautiful, healthy and happy, but that is almost impossible for us to stay like that forever. We grow old, our hairs and teeth go missing one by one and there are ups and downs in life, and our bone strink, and wrinkle in the face, and.............

Anyway, I am not worried because it would be silly wasting time worrying for something which is not in my control. What I want to do now is to try the best I could to stay happy and healthy. Below is a simple check list to see if I am keeping myself well and to find out what are the areas need improvements:

1. Food is vital to keep me healthy, so, besides my proper meals, I also pop in some necessary Vitamins & supplements like : Calcium & Glucosamine to strengthen my bone, Vitamin E & Omega 3&6 to wash away the cholesterol, Vitamin C for my skin, B for slimming and relaxation ++++ Multi-vitamin just in case I missed out some essential vitamins in my diet. Mmm.. need to improve my cooking, so I have appetite to eat more.

2. I go for facial once every 2 months. Apart from that I also use a lot of protection for my skin days and nights, like toner, moisturizer, lotion for lifting, for whitening, for wrinkle, sun block etc, etc, etc ... Mmm .. need to boil some beauty sweet soup more often.

3. For exercise, I go jogging in the evening, line dance, gardening and singing (lung exercise, hehehe). Mmm... My garden is not getting better but worst. Need a gardener to help out.

4. I do prayer at home everyday, once in the morning and once in the evening if I have the time. Mmm.... Need to be more committed spiritually.
5. For Family life, I am not sure I am a good mother. For that I would like to leave it to my sons to rate me. Mmm...I would rate myself 6/10.

6. Job? I am a mother, a house maid with never ending house chores and a sole bread earner. Mmm... Need to increase my income. By the way, how many people are not as money face as me??
7. Social life? Mmm... Seriously need some adjustment and time management. I... NEED... MORE FRIENDS .....of same frequency!!!

The Countdown

Chinese New Year is getting closer. Like most typical Chinese, I am also emtying my purse for decorative items for the house, Ang-pow (red packet with money), food and clothing. Apart from that I am also spending my time making sure that my house looks clean and attractive this year so that the prosperity god will visit me as he always does before.

Let me start the countdown before it is too late :

1. 14th - Shop for both big and small lanterns, other decorative items, 2 pots of lime trees and few pots of plants with flower.
- Send greeting cards.

2. 15th - Clean and arrange my wardrobe and get rid of all unwanted clothing.

3. 16th - Paint my gate.

4. 17th - Gardening.

5. 18th - Bake Cookies.

6. 19th - Change new cash notes from bank and get the 'Ang-pow' ready for my children, nieces and nephews.

7. 20th - To clean up my store room, windows, doors, grills, wash curtains, cushions etc...

8. 21st - Shop for my new dress, shoes, handbag etc...

9. 22nd - Send car to mechanic for servicing, make sure it doesn't break down during the New Year.

10. 23rd - Shop for dried food like - red dates, sea cucumber, fish maw, black fungus, tofu skin, rice ......

11. 24th - Make a visit to the wet market - Fish, prawn, chicken, pork, pineapple, mandarin oranges, vegetables, seasonings ....

12. 25th - Chinese new year's eve. I will be busy giving my house a thorough cleaning, to make sure all the ill-fortune are swept away and welcoming the good luck.

Yea it's a handful of chores, so as you'd have guessed, i'm not doing all this by myself. My "maids' will help me.

When I said maids I meant sons :)

This time I will split the job evenly so as not to get grumpy sons this festive season.
